Apple’s smartphone sales fell by around 10 percent in the quarter of 2024. This was exacerbated by increased competition from Android manufacturers of smartphones aiming for the top spot, figures from the research firm IDC revealed on Sunday.

Xiaomi is one of China’s leading smartphone makers, took the third position, with a market share of 14.1 percent in the initial quarter.
