PIA air hostess fined for travelling to Toronto without a passport

PIA air hostess fined for travelling to Toronto without a passport

Karachi: On Friday, March 15, a Pakistan International Airlines air hostess was fined $200 by Canadian officials for travelling to Toronto without a valid passport. This rare occurrence was made public on Sunday.

According to a source connected to the national carrier, the stewardess on flight PK-781, headed for Toronto, failed to bring her passport with her and had to board the aircraft using the general declaration documents.

She arrived in Toronto without a passport, and as a result, the Canadian authorities penalized her.

The PIA addressed the issue and verified the event and the air hostess’s fine.

Although the flight attendant’s identity was withheld, a national flag carrier representative confirmed that she had left her passport at the airport in Karachi.

He clarified, however, that the air hostess in question is returning to Pakistan on aircraft PK-782 and refuted allegations of her stay and political asylum in Canada.

Due to multiple instances of PTI flight attendants going missing while applying for immigration to Canada, the incident raised worries.

More than ten PIA flight attendants have reportedly disappeared after landing in.
