PA in Punjab sees walkout following insulting gesture directed at a lady minister

Lahore: Women members of the Punjab Assembly protested against the objectionable gestures made by opposition MPAs towards Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari.

The women MPAs of the ruling party complained about rude gestures made by some opposition members.

When the MPAs of the ruling party criticised Imran Khan, founding chairman and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), there was chaos in Parliament. Sunni Ittehad Council members expressed their disappointment during the budget debate and said that the government has completely ignored youth. Sania Ashiq, a PMLN MPA, praised the budget and the steps taken by Punjab for the welfare of the people.

The Sunni Ittehad Council members also protested against the attitude of Azma Bokhari, Provincial Minister. MPAs from both sides of the political divide took part in the budget discussion and made their proposals as well as complained about the annual development program.

Mian Ejaz Shafi, an opposition legislator, expressed grave concern about the resignation of the Aitchison College Lahore director. Speaking during a PA session chaired Deputy Speaker Zaheer iqbal Channar on a motion of order, Ejaz Shafi stated that it was a great embarrassment to the country how the principal of a prestigious institution such as Aitchison College resigned. He criticized Ahad Cheema’s request to waive the fees of his sons.
