Health Crisis Due to Smog

Current report shows that 70 percent of Pakistan’s population suffers from health problems due to smoke.The effects of smoke are causing sore throats and lung diseases.

 Symptoms of diseases spread in smog include cough, flu and breathing problems. In Punjab, the situation has been so serious in the last few months that it has been called a disaster. The quality of air in the fields often exceeds the dangerous level, regularly crossing the air quality index of 1,000, which is above the dangerous level of 300.

Cause of Smog

 As a result of heavy smoke, many problems related to transportation have come to the fore. In the past two months, about 20 to 22 lakh people in Punjab have suffered from breathing difficulties and other respiratory diseases and they have not been provided with facilities. Dense smoke affects many areas. The way of life of many people has also changed.

It was said that their daily lives, such as household chores, were greatly affected by smog. Many schools had to close due to smog, which also affected education.
