Pakistan Shaheens Beat Sri Lanka A in Style

RAWALPINDI: Mohammad Suleman and Ali Zaryab scored anchoring half-centuries and led Pakistan Shaheens to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka ‘A’ on the final day of the first four-day match here at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday.Suleman remained the top-scorer in Shaheens’ second innings with 86 off 129 deliveries, featuring 11 boundaries.

On the last day of the first four-day match played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the Pakistani team defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets. The match saw the good performance of Ali Ziryab and Muhammad Salman. Ai Ziryab was awarded the man of the match for his consistent batting in both the innings. Sri Lanka set a target of 222 runs, which Pakistan achieved in just 53 overs thanks to the important partnership between Muhammad Salman and Ali Ziryab for the third wicket. After the start, the partnership of both of them was very important in continuing them. Shaheen started their chase with a few early setbacks.

Both openers Mohammad Harar and Abdul al  Fasi lost their wickets with 32 runs on the board. It was an early setback but Salman and Muhadal Ab’s 158-run partnership turned the tide in favor of the home side.
